Maasai Mara and gorillas

18 days · from $5,680 per person

An epic privately guided journey: the Maasai Mara, then south into Uganda for mountain gorillas. Eighteen days, one desk, one plan.

Highlights

  • Mara big cats
  • Overland or fly into Uganda
  • Bwindi gorilla trek
  • Time that is not rushed between parks

How the days go

  1. Days 1–6

    Kenya

Nairobi, the Mara, and a lake or highland night so the first week is not only dust and dawn starts.

  2. Days 7–9

    Crossing

Travel into Uganda. We build the border or flight day around what is actually operating that month.

  3. Days 10–12

    Murchison or Queen

A wildlife chapter on the Nile or in Queen Elizabeth before the forest.

  4. Days 13–15

    Bwindi

Gorilla trek and a spare day in case the family is a long walk.

  5. Days 16–18

    Out via Entebbe

Lake Mburo or a rest day, then departure.
