Safaris on this list run with a private guide and a vehicle. In Uganda and Rwanda the gorilla and chimpanzee walks themselves are led by park rangers; your guide meets you before and after, and handles the road.

The old site also pointed “be a volunteer” at this page. We do not run a volunteer programme from here. If you want to spend time with a lodge or a community project, say so when you enquire and the desk will tell you whether a partner actually has a place — or that they do not.
